Welcome to SR Baby Driver. A new life awaits you.
Have a great meeting Gina..
It is so good to read about everyone's progress here.
I have to start back over again.. but in the long run, this is all a part
of the journey..
Good days and bad days will happen,,it is all about how I handle them.

WOOO HOOO Kathy!! Way to go girl!!
Gina, that's fantastic! See, you CAN do this. How's your sister doing?
Angel, one day at a time, hon.....it is truly all about how you handle them. Just keep reaching out.
BD, welcome and just take a deep breath. The water's only cold for about 3 seconds. You're in a good place with lots of wonderful people. It WILL get easier, it WILL.
Nogard, how's my kinder, gentler ever expanding buddy today?
Day 9 for me! I can almost touch that two week mark.....

Hi Everybody
I had my first AA meeting tonight. I posted the night's events on the Alcoholism thread. Check it out. Basically, I had a real good time and felt that it was exactly what I need to keep me sober. I plan on attending next week, and thereafter. Nice, nice people. I felt the companionship and everybody could relate to one another. I am so happy that I found the courage to attend. I needed it years ago (and knew it, but was too embrassed or proud to go). But not tonight. I encourage anyone who hasn't gone to go. Go, go. Just like everyone says here at SR - face to face is different and wonderful. My sister is on day 5 - she too posts on the Alcoholism tread.
I cannot express fully my appreciation to each of you. Thank you. It's off to bed for me and that wraps up the end of my first 72 hours of sobriety and the beginning of a new lifestyle. Good night, SR! Blessings to you.
