24 hour plan

Just for this 24 hours, we will not drink. Tomorrow will take care of itself. We can go to any extremes to stay sober FOR TODAY.

We can endure the discomfort from not using for the next hour. When 24 is too big, break it down into hours, or minutes.

We can start our 24 hour plan anytime we want.

Every recovery from addiction and alcoholism began with one sober hour.

Wishing my friends at SR a clean, sober 24!

Hope

At times today it was a sober minute at a time.....but those mounted up and now I have my 14 weeks. That is with all your help so I am so grateful for that so have to keep being sober and grateful, one ****** at a time as the time may command.....

Heres to another 24 for us all - we are worth it!

Hi Hope

So happy to see your new "bi-line": Healing each day. Those subtle shifts mean so much and will carry you on and on.

This plan really breaks things down for me. It tells me that I can start my day over any time I want and that is so awesome. No matter what happened yesterday or what tomorrow holds, I can handle staying sober *TODAY*. The other days will take care of themselves.

My wish is to feel better again. Everytime I started to feel good, I went and picked up and threw it all away. Maybe I will learn one day.

Hope now is a good time to live the lessons you are learning. Today is that one day you are speaking of. The time is now.

That's what I'm doing. I'm focusing on today and what I can do to make the most out of each day. A meeting is the top priority and supplements like this site are also invaluable to lift, teach and help me up, easy does it for me no super aspirations, one thing at a time/first things first, no focusing on anything about the past/using the serenity praying, no believing my mind...the mind is fallable so I must not trust it and believe what it tells me it always tries to railroad me the mind can be super irrational and illogical and deceptive...I always end up realizing my mind plays a lot of tricks on me, and has a mind of it's own. Anyways, just an approach I'm taking...I need a sponsor.

Thanks Hope:
Already got up and made a promise to myself to not let anything come between me and my sobriety today.
Somedays, taking that promise beyond 24 hours is just too daunting a task.
For all of us who wake up tomorrow sober - we need to be thankful - and just work on tomorrow...tomorrow.
Thanks for the reminder.
