30 Days Today!
Hi everyone!
I am the proud parent of 30 days of sobriety today! Well, it would officially be the end of the day today, but I know that there is no chance that I will have a drink today...I know that, and that's that! So, am breaking out the happiness a little early.
I am incredibly grateful to everyone here at SR who have shared their stories, wisdom and support...a special thanks to all of the moderators for their generosity.
I am grateful for all of the people - friends, family, strangers - who over the past month listened, comforted and showed the best of humanity to me.
I am also grateful to all those people who are reaching out, to those that remind me of our shared work at bettering our lives, to those that accept and hopefully benefit from my humble advice and support.
I am grateful to ME!...my individual spirituality and my intellectual capacity have joined forces in coming to terms with my addiciton and have led me into a completely new phase in my recovery...one that focuses on the positive, the benefits, the strength...not the trudgery and pitfalls.
I am feeling optimistic and hopeful and am proactively taking the steps I need to defeat this demon, to live the life that I deserve and was born to live.
Best Wishes on a Happy and Healthy Day.
Lance

Congratulations Lance. Thanks for sharing your gratitude with us. It's what I needed to hear today. It is important to remember all the little things in life that we sometimes overlook. Like this second chance at life that we have been given. Great job on the 30 days, keep up the good work.
Breaking out the happiness EARLY :-)
