My eye won't stop twitching

I havn't had a drink since the 6th, and on the 7th I started to notice that just under my right eye started to twitch as different times durring the day. It is still doing it on and off through the day, and I'm wondering if this is something that I should be worried about or if it will go away soon? Has anyone out there had this happen? Other than this, I feel fairly good- much less foggy, much more motivated- things are alot clearer in my head.

Thinking of your bathroom and reminiscing the movie “Charlotte’s Web” I’ll greet you with salutations LOL.

I’ve had the ole eyeball thing happen. My lower eyelid flaps and flutters like a torn sail. A frenzy of little sleepy boogers dancing around under your peeper. I’ve had it spread to my nose too. For me it’s a sign of vitamin E deficiency. Do you take vitamins? It might help. When all else fails you can make it stop with duct tape.

That exact same thing happens to me when I'm under a lot of stress.

That used to happen to me when i first stopped using. It used to really freak me out; i used to think i was gonna bust a blood vessel, or have a heart attack, or brain tumour or something. I had forgotten all about it until reading your post.

Congrats to you Smudge on 8 days sober, thats wonderful.

Yes, I remember my eye would twitch here and there when I first got sober, and it stopped. I don't know if my eye was doing that or not, when I was drinking.... for obvious reasons. LOL

If it disturbs you, why not give your doc a call and see what he says.

ROTFLMA....... Wow, I love that one, thanks for the laugh ½Sane ®

Smudge think of it this way. You could have ended up like me. I told you it spread to my nose. Well I have an embarrassing confession to make. It spread even further then that. The twitching those guys did in “A Night At The Roxburry ” were modeled after my withdrawal spasms. They return every time I hear that damn song too.

If this happens to you? You’ll find duct tape is cheap at Home Depot when you buy it 500 rolls bulk. LOL
