I'm new, relapse after 8 months
I'm new to online recovery. I had been sober for 8 months, until last week. I used again it just wasn't the drug " I had a problem with." I need help and dont know where to go!

Welcome!
Lots of us relapsed by switching chemicals. The way I see it, if the addiction-monster sees that it can't get you to use your former drink or drug of choice, it will try to convince you that you only had a problem with drug "A," so drug "B" will be ok.
So far as I can tell, this never worked for anyone. It sure didn't work for me.

I saw that. It's okay. There's a forum here that gives you the meeting times and instructions on how to get into the chat rooms. Go back to the main menu for Alcoholism and Addictions Help Forum and scroll down to Chat and Online meetings near the bottom.
Wellcome to SR and congratulations on your 8 months sobriety.
But as you've been told we're all addicted to addiction or mind-altering substances, so an alcoholic can switch to pills and a pill addict can switch to alcohol, and so on.
I think that you have been clean for 8 month but not actually sober, meaning you didn't really make a true effort to find out what addiction really is and affects your life, you said it yourself.
The best thing you should do is to stay clean and learn how to live sober, and do it the way you see it's best for you.
You must be willing to do it yourself, there are no miracle cures. There's not even a cure for that matter.
Hugs - Pedro

thankx! I'm just so damn lost, I'm not sure how to feel about myself, why did I have to do this again? To myself and to my family. I've been fighting with drugs for 11 years! I just want it to stop!!!
