Difficult Post from Denise (Justme2) Prayers Needed!!

I was contacted yesterday by Denise and she has had an accident that I believe will be her wake-up call. She needs lots of prayers. She fell against a wood-burning stove and was burned quite badly. She is home now recovering. What she wanted to say is that this is the harsh reality of this disease. She hopes that this will help someone else to stop drinking.

Please send your prayers to Denise, our dear friend.

I know Denise thanks you for all your good wishes. She can't type much right now, but is reading here at SR.

And, yes XpartyGirl - it probably could have happened to any one of us.

Denise, I'll be keeping you in my prayers tonite...

For the rest of you...(ME!!!) when will we get it through our thick heads that this is a "chronic, progressive FATAL disease" that will KILL us if we give it one little itty bitty chance. It doesn't have to be alcohol related like liver disease...cars, ladders, even hot stoves...it KILLS. If not this time, maybe next, and the only way to prevent that is stay sober and clean, doing whatever it takes.
