Helo,

I am back from the dead, almost literally. After my last post I went into convulsions again. Was rushed to the hospital. Then to detox. Now don't have the DTs anymore. My pulse was 173 and I was told any higher and I would have a heart attack. Boy what a week.

Anyway, thank you all so much.

Boozer, glad you are around, think you were asked before, WHAT are you doing for support?

You DON'T have to go thru this alone.

Tom

After my episode Sunday night and the fact that I lived my parents paid for detox. Now AA for a week while I get my business clients in order. Then off to a 28 day rehab.

Dave,

You are correct about the interesting people. I just came from a 5 day detox and I met all sorts, races, professions, you name it. We all came together because we share one thing. I am sure it will be the same in recovery.
Thank you and from now on I will have a new post--don't know what yet but a new one with a less depressing title.
I have had one heck of a day. I am anxious to go sleep in my own bed so talk to you all tomorrow.

Help me

I'm at my wits end. My boyfriend has been gone for two days and I don't know what to do. We have been together on and off for sixteen years. For the past two he has fought this addiction, but this is my first time dealing with his addiction. He's been clean for six months and I just don't know what happened. I'm starting to fear the worst, like he's OD'd or lying in a ditch somewhere. We've just found each other again and I can't lose him. All I want is to bring him home and get him help. Please if you have any tips on where to look, I need your help. I've already tried bars and parking lots around town. Please help me, I'm so scared. Please pray for him to come home safe. Thanks

Kris, taking care of others, especially someone you love is so tough. I know this may not sound like an answer, but all you can do IS TAKE CARE OF YOU.

Suggest you do an internet search for Ala-non in your area, not sure what part of CA you are in. I'm in the Pasadena area.

Here is a link to Ala-non in Orange County, check out this web site, or better yet call them and get info for your area.

http://www.orangecountyalanon.org/

Please check in and let us know how you are doing!

Tom
