It's Lined with Silver

I'm celebrating 6 months this coming Sunday, and it's just been so good to be sober. Even the hardest moments have been good because I've made it through all of them and I'm not the same person I was as an active alcoholic and addict. Recovery is lined with silver -- just like most of life is, but now I can finally SEE it. And the changes are amazing. Mostly, it's being "unstuck" that I'm enjoying most.

I just want to thank all of you here. I don't come here all that often, but when I do, it always gives me just what I need.

Hey Liz! I've had a rotten day, but I've got to tell you, reading a post like yours helps give me faith to keep moving forward in sobriety!

Congratulations on six months!
