New friend who didn't know I was recovering offerred me a sample of some coffee creamer with an alcohol base. (Noone would know. . . why make a big deal. . . .) And then I thought that consuming that would put a dishonesty in my recovery . 2 1/2 years sober (well except for that time. . . ). It was another occasion to realize just what my sobriety means to me.

It also was an oppurtunity to share a bit of my hope and experience with a new friend (who was really cool about it).
