Have made the month mark - always thought I would get here but it was a long time coming and couldn't do it without lurking round the room getting encouragement from others' posts.

I thought I would be euphoric making the month - but am just quiet, tired, more thoughtful. Dealing with the daily "panic attacks" - that's what my doctor concluded.....roll on another month, another month, another year...

Gosh, this sounds so depressing!! But that's reality without the rose coloured glasses of alcohol.

Congratulations, ((Saffron)) on one precious month of continuous sobriety. It's wonderful. So are you. For a whole month you have got by without the lubricant you used to think was essential to life. What you have now is hope. Experience (the past) combined with Hope (the future) is giving you Strength (the present).

Keep on doing what you have to do. Don't get cocky (most do). What you have is a daily reprieve dependent on your spiritual condition. That's all any of us have.

I've been sober over sixteen years.

Remember, I'm pulling for you. We're all in this together.
