Today I went to my first Alanon meeting
 

Today I went to my first alanon meeting it was pretty intense. I was pretty nervous but t was good I liked it, I'm gonna go back. It felt good to get stuff off my chest and talk to people who can relate with me. It was nice I liked it.

i am very nervouse about going to my first meeting too. what kind of meeting was it - closed? open? 12 step? i barely know the difference between them

it was a 12 step meeting. it was nice, everyone was really nice

Hi, I went to my first Alanon meeting last week and I found it really difficult. I am 11 years sober and just broken up a relationship with an addict who has just joined recovery 6 months clean and sober - can not do relationships.
