Starting Over - Day 1 and Sad

Hi all...

I've been battling addiction for a while, and just went on a bender last week after several months of sobriety. My husband is furious and most likely starting divorce proceedings. I'm wracked with guilt for what I've done to him and to my two young boys.

I've called EVERYONE on my AA list this morning and will go to the local meeting tonight.

Guess I just wanted to introduce myself and ask for prayers, as I will pray for all of you.

Love,

Kim

Kim stop beating yourself up. You've done the right thing after a mistake. I will pray for you as well.

Love, Marilyn

Hi Kim,
I am new here too. I am in the same boat as you as well. My husband is just about to have our marriage annuled. I don't know how he has lasted this long. I was sober for a while and used on Christmas and last Tuesday. But I made it worse by using w/a guy I met in a drug program!! He is furious. And I dont blame him. Isn't it crazy the things these stupid chemicals make us do???? They suck the soul out of us. Just try to get to get to a meeting. I know I HAVE TO!! But I can't until tonight. I can't wait. I am here if you need to talk. MY AIM is CMM1177
Take care girl

Hi Kim... and WELCOME!
Glad you are here...
The most important thing is that you are sober today and back in the saddle.
You have taken positive steps by calling your contacts and planning on going to a meeting tonight. I have found I can't do this recovery thing alone.
Try to stay in the moment and not get caught up in regret about yesterday and worries about tommorow.
The best thing you can do for yourself and your family right now is walk your talk. One day at a time.
You will find alot of beautiful folks here, we support each other on this journey down the road to recovery.
Let us know what we can do to help you stay sober....

Oh boy it's hard not to beat oneself up, isn't it? I'm keeping very busy this morning (how did my house get so nasty?) and my thoughts are in the right place and I'm starting to feel better about life. Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement....

Kim I am glad you are feeling alittle better. Take a look through the ashes and rubble of your life you never know what gifts are in all of the mess. Good luck
