Success.......

so far. My last drink was May 4th, 2001. I continued smoking MJ for another 14 months, working a strong MJ maintenance program.

Finally, on the Fourth of July, 2002, I had smoked my last joint the day before.

Here I am, 2 1/2 years sober today, and still a bit amazed. ME, sober!!

After all, I had been drinking and smoking MJ all day, everyday for almost 25 years. It's damn near ALL I knew.

I'm here to tell you, IF I CAN GET SOBER, SO CAN YOU.......

I have been thru some pretty intense personal challenges during sobriety, PLENTY of excuses to catch a buzz......

I, like you, have a choice to make, EVERYDAY.

Today, I CHOSE SOBRIETY.

I hope you do to! It's a better way of life.

Ah yes, MJ smokers..........all I did was smoke bong load after bong load and chase it down with a beer or 10.

Drop EVERYTHING I was doing, at the cost of ANYTHING........yes, kids, family, never mattered, (funny the ex was a big smoker too, so she did not mind watching the kids) to venture out to score that next bag.

Countless amounts of time and money, GONE, WASTED......LIKE ME!!

Life is a challenge, why complicate it being toasted all the time?

Thanks for the strength and hope! I have the same thoughts, me sober? I doubt myself all the time because I have went in and out of the program for so long. Everytime I think this is it, I will get it this time and mean it with all my heart. Still yet that day comes that I drink again. I've hit a new bottom but I know there is always another one out there being 24yrs. old, if not death. When I hear stories like yours it reinforces the program and makes me think this is possible for me too. Thanks!

Susan, ........you can start now, OR, wait another 10, 15, or maybe even 20 years to get sober. If you live that long.

What will your life be like if you get, and stay sober at THIS point in your life.

CLOSE your eyes, and invision sobriety. You're damned lucky........you are working on this now.

I didn't.

YOU'RE A WINNER! ! !

You have SUCH a HUGE jump on SO MANY PEOPLE.........do it for you!

Old drunks joke.........

Never drink and drive.......

You might hit a bump, and spill your drink!

Damn, hate to say it, but I can relate to that.
