Cool Why can't I "thank" anymore?

I've noticed I can't "thank" on posts, and can't see them anymore. I loved that feature. Was it removed?

And if the thank feature really is gone - Thank you all!!!! .

I don’t think it’s coming back. I’ve seen a Like button feature on other forums that use this software. Maybe they can implement that one.

The techies know about the loss of the Thanks button. They know we miss it. Unfortunately, they have not fixed it at this time.

It's been months that they have been working on it and it's still not fixed? I had no idea restoring a "thanks" button was as complicated as brain surgery.

No one has said that restoring the Thanks button was as complicated as brain surgery. But, there is no point in complaining about it. We're doing the best we can.

Even if the thank button worked, many of my posts would be unthanked

i find it so interesting what comes up in response to the missing thank button.
never having liked that button and having noticed how it felt to me like a bit of a popularity contest and how, despite not liking it i sure liked getting some thanks, i found myself at times getting caught up in that.
and now that, thankfully, it’s gone, i find at times i miss getting a thanks or two.
oh what this has showed me about myself!
and oh how i like not being the least affected by if any post of mine ever gets a thanks. there is more freedom without that button. it can be rather tough on a person who rarely gets thanks to keep posting when they see others’ posts with lots of them. it would discourage some from participating.
i find it more inclusive this way.

Wasn't posting when it was a thing but I agree with you. While fine for folks with thick skin and not reading into things that are not there I could see some posters in early fragile sobriety taking things unnecessarily personal and leaving a great community.

Personally, I miss the like feature. For me it was an easy way to add support for someone else's post. Also, I often had nothing new to add so making an actual post was just a repeat of what others have already said.

That said I appreciate what fini said. Never thought of it that way because... self-centered. Thanks for the right sizing. Need I say more?
