Good Morning Weekenders

Sending caring thoughts to Dragon and his family.

Alpine, hope your treatment goes as well as it can today.

Had a lot of rain here overnight. Sun’s shining now though.

Love to all Weekenders xxxx

Cruising along in my little corner of the world. I continue to live my running life through Calm. I hope once all the medical poop gets done I can get back at it. I can walk, but it is with a limp. Once my abdomen heals a bit more I will try a bike.

Pledging for today. Day 192. Back in Florida for a few days. No temptations yet this time as I am alone. Best to all.

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers everyone. Just a quick check-in, it's been a couple of whirlwind days making arrangements.

Calmself, I use to run, I miss it, it's such a great feeling isn't it? especially when you hit your stride, it's like dancing. I recall one particular moment when I was initially training. All of a sudden, during a long run my body seemed to sync up and it became effortless.

I used to love running as a teenager. Before I started drinking and headed down the wrong track, so to speak, I used to be very fit and healthy. Not only did I do running, I also played football (the soccer variety), tennis and badminton plus I loved walking everywhere. Unfortunately I'll never be able to get back to running, even if I lost weight and got fit as I have osteoarthritis in both knees which is controllable to a degree but sadly isn't reversible. I love reading about how far calmself has run, and in what time. That would have been me at one time!

100% agree. Beyond a point you feel like you can run forever at the same pace. The lower body completely disappears, theres no tiredness and only steady running. This takes about 45 minutes though to show up.

(((Alpine))). Sending you prayers for peace of mind and patience to get thru this treatment.

I remember experiencing that. Almost like one's feet have wings.

I had that run a few times, it was effortless and painless, I used to think it was our natural endorphins kicked in.
