Thanks for your thoughts Least.
My leg from my hip to knee hurts and where the tumor is hurts and feels very burn like. Blah. This won't make me go for the poison though.

I like grapes too, the dark red and purple ones are good, the green ones I'm not so fond of - a bit too sour to suit me. When the girls were in high school, we had rats for pets; Merri and Pippin (from two of the hobbits in LOTR). I'd give them grapes and they'd carefully peel it and discard the peel, just eat the inside 'meat' of the grape.

Might go visit ck and son in law tomorrow if she doesn't sleep all day. She said she's been kind of sleep deprived lately so might not go visit til Sunday after she's gotten some sleep and feels more rested.

Billie had a good day. Went outside to sniff foreign peemails and bark at strangers on the sidewalk. . I rinsed her porch potty piece of turf with hot water. I hang it over the fence on the porch and pour hot water over it until the water runs clear and not yellow. She's pretty good about using it. Once in a while she'll get a burr up her butt and insist on going outside.

Besides yesterday being Dee and Daisybelle's anniversary, it was also the day I adopted Lily from Chicory back in 2014. . All during the three hour drive home, she didn't make a peep. Not a sound. And I put her, with supplies, in ck's old bedroom to keep her separate until I could be awake and watching her. But guess what? My smart cat Freddie (RIP) opened the bedroom door (latch, not knob) and let Lily out and took her on a tour of the place. I am not exaggerating one bit. He really did. . They bonded right away and were best friends until the day he died on May 18th, 2018. So April 6th is a good date for three of us, four of us including Lily.

Feeling a bit more energetic today. At least I didn't go back to bed during the day. I stayed up and drank coffee.

PJ, how are you doing? If the pain patches aren't helping, is there anything else they can give you? And give a tummy rub to Roxy for me.

Good Morning Weekenders

Alpine, I hope the pain subsides. Have you got the weekend off from treatment? Take care.

Least I like grapes too, prefer the black ones best.

It’s a foggy start this morning. Sun’s trying to get through though.

Love to all Weekenders xxxx

Pain is just a permanent part of my gig. Surgery not happening, too long, too much damage. Physio not help, tried three times over 2y. Steroids don't help, even strong oral pain relief don't work. I need to lose weight, get fit. Still thankful for being alive with difficulties..Better a loon with ouchy bits than....boozing...

Good Morning Weekenders

It's Saturday morning. I'm off to do some shopping this morning. I'm going to B&M's, which, as posters in the UK will know, is where you go to buy one thing and come out with a dozen other things that you never intended to buy.

Football on TV this afternoon and chilling out this evening. Plus I'll be going for a walk at some point today.

Have a good Saturday everybody.

Least,I love that story about Lily. Made me smile
I think I may need to get some grapes. Have not had those in a long time
Mags, yes I have the weekend off. Thanks for asking. I love fog, especially if I am paddling along a shore line. I don't go out where a power boat can hit me because they can't see me. Last year we were paddling in a nonpower boat lake when there was fog and heard the loons. So eerie and yet very magical
Runner, those days are adding up. Woot woot

Morning,

Alpine, sorry to read about your tumor, is this a recent discovery?

Thanks for the support everyone. Yesterday we went to dads house and pulled out boxes of paperwork. Mostly bills but some interesting stuff too. I've only gone thru a small portion of it but one really interesting paper was an apprenticeship agreement from 1953. His mother also had to sign it promising that her son would obey all laws of the company.

PJ! I didn't know you had Rough Rider fans in OZ?

ST, It all started in October, was not able to get into to see a Dr until the end of January...Since then it has been a whirlwind of appointments and procedures. In Feb I had 15 appointments and radiation had not even started yet.

Going to wash up and go over to ck's house to visit in a while. Billie gets to come too. One or both of them, plus their pup, comes over here to walk Billie over to their place since I can't control my walker and Billie's leash at the same time since Billie tends to jerk on the leash and could knock me off balance.

Nice day out. Sunny and warmish, in the 60s F.

Billie and I love going to their house to visit. They took care of her last fall for a month at their place when I was in the rehab/hospital. So she feels right at home at their house.

Doing a small load of laundry right now, then my chores are done for the day.

I feel the same way Klio.

I'll be glad when my brain gets on board with all this.
