It's over
At least I hope it is. On day 26.
Last withdrawals I think I was actually nearly in DTs Hallucinations, hearing things, the usual physical withdrawal, pounding heart, shaking, sweating etc.
Been too scared to drink again quite frankly. But that won't keep me sober forever.
Been reading here a while, think I will make this the start of a journal
Thank you for having me

Welcome Bottomed to a new life sober.
Hang in there it gets better. It took me a few days sober to to settle down and find some calm.
Journaling here is a splendid idea
A grateful addict never has to use again.

To be honest, bottomed, fear of drinking has kept me sober for four years. Life’s good now, and I don’t want to go back to the boring empty existence I once had. That’s what you want to be aiming for. You’re going to be feeling rough at this stage. It’s normal. Well done on 26 days. Give it a few more weeks, and you’ll start feeling noticeably better.
Hi Bottomed. I'm so glad you've decided it's over. I felt the same way when I quit. I was exhausted & disgusted with my life.
26 days is wonderful. You never have to return to that miserable place.
