So my first pre-entry session was mostly ok. The people seemed very nice on the surface, but my paranoia said they were ******* with me the entire meeting. God, it's going to be so hard to finish treatment when I just can't trust people. :/

It is hard but you’re self aware enough to distinguish those thoughts as paranoia, which is a good thing.

Yeah I'm not totally off the deep end like in the past. I have insight as a psychiatrist would say.

That first step is HUUUUUGE! The door will open even further and all you have to do is walk through it. It's scary AF but know that you will NOT be given more than you can handle. One foot in front of the other FF.

Yeah they're not going to admit me to the program until I've demonstrated in pre-entry that I'm ready. I'm not ready yet but hopefully I'll get there.

Genuine question how do they decide when someone is ready? Never done rehab so dont know how it works.

I guess it's how well you're behaving in pre-entry and engaging in the group session. I'm not really sure.

I certainly hope they can get you in soon! You have grown a lot as a person and gained insight into the problems that torment you, I'm not sure what else they need to see. I'm very glad that you're in line to get the help you need. There is so much life ahead of you, FF, and it can be a good life!
