I am so grateful that Billie keeps me company in bed and snuggles close to me.

Went to bed early tonight but couldn't fall asleep. Trying again shortly.. Even if I can't sleep, at least I can snuggle with Billie.

End of Day 463 - Ran 12.2 kms in 85 minutes, my longest run to date. Had a good dinner and off to sleep. Congrats to all milestones today. Good night from windy drizzly Seattle.

The electricity went off twice today. Just a few minutes each time but enough to mess up my internet connection.

Good Morning Weekenders

Alpine I loved your picture of the crows too. I went off to find out how many in a murder. Should’ve known. Just one short. Oh and your child pic. Hilarious!

A bit under the weather with the asthma last few days. Started my rescue meds today so should be soon running about like a tipping engine.

Have a good day Weekenders, sometimes they’re not good days. I always remember what our dear Ann used to say. “The difference between a bad day and good day is about two days”.

xxxx

Hello PJ

Mags, I hope your asthma clears up soon.

I had a hospital appointment yesterday morning with the physiotherapist. It was for a check over after my recent stent procedure and to ask if I wanted to do a cardiac rehabillitation exercise class. I said yes as it's something I definitely want to do. It's 6 weeks of a tailored exercise class along with talks on health, looking after yourself etc. The good thing is, when the 6 weeks are finished I can then be referred to my local lesiure centre for free use of the gym for 12 weeks. I was thinking about rejoining the gym so this is ideal for me.

Mags, what's a "tipping engine"? I googled it but still not clear what it is.

I've tried twice to get to sleep tonight. but no such luck. . The itching is really bad. I still haven't gotten a call back from the second allergy clinic. I do hope they take my insurance and can get me an appt quickly. This is getting unbearable.

Mags, sorry you've got the asthma bothering you. Hope your rescue meds to the trick to get you right as rain in no time.

Just took Billie out and she gave me a LW. . Now if I could just get to sleep...

Good to see you be here PJ

Robbie, great news on the Cardiac Rehabilitation exercise classes. It’s good to get the right exercises and health advice. Love that they’re giving a free pass for 3 months to your local gym and leisure centre. Does it have a swimming pool too?

Least ‘tipping engine’ just refers to the same as ‘fit as a fiddle’ or running about like a two year old. (That’s a two year old filly not human, racing parlance) I’m not sure if I made tipping engine up though I’m sure I didn’t. I’ll have to think where I heard it years ago.

Mags, I thought was funny too . Just trying to keep my sense of humor up which at this point is becoming a challenge as you have read about on other threads. Just holding my head above water.

Mags, I've never heard of "tipping engine"!

The leisure centre does have a swimming pool but I wouldn't be able to use it anyway as I can't swim... I really should have learned how to swim years / decades ago but I hated going to the swimming baths as a child and so never learned to swim.

Just asked Mr. Mags if he’d heard the tipping engine saying and he had. “Working like a tipping engine”. Seems like it’s a part in an engine so Alexa said. Couldn’t find anything on the net. Wonder if I heard it from the steelworks where we both worked. They had many Loco engines on site. Not sure where the reference is there. I’ll have to ask some old timers (meant in an affectionate way, no disrespect) about that one.
