My kitchen sink backed up with dirty water and I submitted a repair request. Hope they come today.

Pet sitting this weekend….glad to be sober ‘cause if I were still drinking this wouldn’t be possible!

I’m in for another weekend. Tonight I went to dinner with my husband, at first it was like the drink menu was pushed on me. I ended up ordering fancy water. Husband ordered wine and it just seemed gross to imagine with the salad and food. I was a bit triggered as he lingered over his wine but home now with coffee and dessert 🍨

Good work Tica. Pleased you had a good dinner that you’ll remember clear headed.

Purps hope you have a good weekend pet sitting, sounds a perfect job for an animal lover.

Least thank goodness the repair man came out quickly.

Have a great day Weekenders. xxxx

Good morning Mags,

Thank you for the cheery post to start the day. I'm resolutely, most definitely IN for the weekend please!

Not much to report from here. Work is going well, life in the new flat is lovely and I'm reaching out socially to try to warm up a few old friendships as planned. There's quite a bit of green space near where I am and the first of the daffodils are out. They have cleverly planted different varieties in different patches, flowering at different times in the spring, so we'll have quite a long-lived display this year.

Well done CBS and others racking up the time - even after 4 years it keeps getting better...

Warmest wishes to all Weekenders. Forwards.

I love 💕 the weekend post Mags. I’m having a tough time going places newly sober. I have a lot of shame and gilt still. I can’t believe myself. I just need to lay low and work on myself, care for myself to get my roots. I am a seedling 🌱 right now.

To a, I didn’t socialise when I was newly sober. My emotions were so mixed up I couldn’t trust myself to be near alcohol. That feeling does pass though. Seedlings are safe here. You’ll soon grow strong roots.

Alpine I chuckled at your pic. That’s me and my cats.

I don't even understand what the word means. I talk to people outside, and I see my husband every day. That feels like a lot to me.

I don't socialize at all, it's not my thing. I talk with Mr. A and my MIl and that's about it..Except for people that have assisted me in the fabric store.

Good Morning Weekenders

It's another Sober Sunday, my favourite type of Sunday. I'm planning on having a fairly lazy day. A walk this morning followed by Sunday lunch and then an afternoon of watching sport.

I went for a half hour walk yesterday, which is the longest I've walked since last October. I'm glad to report I walked without any discomfort although my knee began to ache a bit towards the end. I'm aiming to walk about the same distance (which is probably only a mile and a half or 2.5km) this morning and will build up a longer distance over the coming weeks, with the aim of walking for an hour by the start of Spring (around 20 March so just over 5 weeks).

Have a good day everyone.
