Welcome, Bandage21.
No right or wrong way, just keep posting, asking questions, sharing your experience and knowledge; anything that works towards the greater goal of sobriety. Yours, and ours.
Been 3 years for me now Bandage, never thought there'd come the day, but here I am so glad to have decided to become sober. It is so much better.
Hope to see you around.

Hi . You have come to the right place. I was not sure what to do either. I found so much support here, they have offered insight, empathy, support, and honest answers/input. Keep coming to read and of course post if you feel comfortable.

I could not stay clean and sober till I fully committed to the recovery program of Alcoholics Anonymous, and I have come to conclude that there is a type of alcoholic for whom A.A. is the only solution. Obviously, I have no idea whether you are an alcoholic/addict at all or, if so, whether you are the type I'm describing -- but I know that I am. Feel free to PM me if you want to chat more about any of that.
Great to have you with us, Bandage.
When I joined SR years ago, I was so encouraged by the people here who really understood what I was going through. I drank many years & couldn't imagine my life without it. Not feeling alone anymore made a huge difference to me. I hope you'll feel the same.

This place saved my life. The education, tough love, kindness, and community spirit helps me to continue my non drinking status.
Booze is poison. I don't believe the hype.
I still suffer daily, but I do it proudly.
Being booze free is the only way for me.
Thanks.
