90 days
90 days
Today is 90 days without a drink .The longest time that I remember in 25 years. Now it hasn’t been all rainbows and sunshine but glad to be where I am .I have had a lot of firsts . First time since my teens I have been sober On the holidays from Halloween to New Year . Thankful for this support group it really has been a huge help. I really don’t post much but I read alot of older and new threads.
I've always felt that if one gets to 90 days, he has the skills to keep it up for life. If applying and developing those skills is kept foremost in one's mind, he will maintain life long sobriety. After 90 days for me, it was mostly a matter of making choices. I could have said, "Oh, screw it. I'm going to drink." That choice was always there, but I always kept in mind how serious the consequences were. We determine our future.
Awesome Dawgs!!!
That is the very reason I am so glad and grateful for the umbrella of recovery/sobriety. My feet might get wet, but it keeps my head dry and a smile in my heart.
Keep on keeping on!
Now it hasn’t been all rainbows and sunshine
Keep on keeping on!
