You understand what you want is to get wasted. I think that's the important part. You're not in denial thinking you want one or wishing you could drink normally. You want to get drunk but if you do bad things happen. The bad things are so bad there really isn't a choice here.

Any partaking of alcohol or drugs always hurts someone, FF- and most certainly it is us. It's hard to think back about what I've done to myself- but going forward with a commitment to make life better for me and those around me helps to let go of any desire to numb or erase the past or present. Stay strong and keep going, you are doing great.

And I don't know what it is like to live with psychotic illness Freedom. I don't know the pull of the desire to squash it. To stop it.

But, I do know my daughter has, even though very sick these past months. She doesn't drink anymore Freedom, and I am so glad for the both of us. She's back on depot, and so much better. Coming for lunch tomorrow.

I don't know much Freedom, but I do have a view that says, no matter how scary or disappointing things may be, to bear ourselves without the contortions of alcohol is the better, only way to go. Nothing is wasted. All is conserved, and eventually we just might get to know ourselves, and be glad for the knowledge at last.

It's hard for us all Freedom.

Just remember that you won't always feel as you do today. As you get more sober time, you'll feel more comfortable with being sober and your feelings of wanting to get wasted will diminish. . Give yourself time, at least a few months, for any noticeable changes.

Didn’t we all. It’s not always like that though. Many do recover 🙏
