AV on steroids
AV is at its worst today, I'm on day 18 been doing great up until today the AV has been relentless, I keep refocusing so that is good.
Quitting this time (tried a couple of times a few years back) I realised shutting my self off from socialising is not the answer, socialising will actually do the opposite for me, instead of increasing my temptation it actually makes me feel like I am still out and enjoying life, not shut away and missing out, which I feel made me break my sobriety last time. I have always been a social/ pub drinker, its where I see friends etc. I have been to the pub twice in 18 days, drank non alcohol drinks, not once did I feel tempted at all, which is great, yet sat at home today, sun is shining and the AV is non stop! Strange how this all works!! Regardless this weekend I WILL NOT be drinking. Peace and love to you all ✌️☮️

Hi Kerrew.
Early days for you - it will get better as you grow stronger. I remember my AV being an issue for about a month, but after that it slowly began to fade away.
I can't believe the idea of drinking rarely crosses my mind now.
Post here when needed - we care.

Hey Kerrew, my theory about the AV becoming louder at the 18 day point is that it's afraid it's losing. It's putting out more effort as it knows you got this. Stay strong, it will get better.
Hang in there Kerrew 18 days is great. Its a tough time of year with the warm weather and what seems like would be great fun to be out but tomorrow would be ruined and you will be disappointed. Tell the AV where to go and let it know how strong you are.
