Step into the Weekend - Weekenders 05 - 08 August 2022
Kaily, nice news at the doctor; well done!
Mags! You are moving; somehow I missed that or maybe I recall that you were thinking of doing so to be closer to your mother-in-law?????
We rarely watch the news, either; yes, the negativity is anxiety producing.

Looks great Kaily. Alfie and Daisy look like they enjoyed it.
Leigh that’s right, we were looking for somewhere nearer mum in law. We found somewhere but got delayed as the owner couldn’t trace her deeds. The good news is the deeds have been found. In fact they wasn’t lost. They were with the solicitor all the time but in a different branch office. Very remiss of the solicitor. But at least things should start rolling from next week. Might get in for September.
Still sunny weather here at just gone 6pm.

Kaily that's Southend-on-Sea - Sarfend! I recognise the Palace Hotel. I occasionally visit a couple of companies in nearby Shoeburyness and further on to Foulness Island and I take the seafront route on the way back which is why I recognise it. I recall dogs are not allowed on the beach in the summer which is a shame.
Good luck with the move Mags, moving is stressful (not that I have moved for ages)
This attractive little street is just off the City Road near to me which runs north west from the City of London in the direction of Kings Cross. 25 years ago, probably a bit less, it was a place to be avoided. There was a REALLY rough pub on the left and the warehouse had not been redeveloped and were used for dealing and other nefarious activities. Gentrification is going too far near me now but it is a big improvement on how it once was. The red brick building top centre was Jamie Oliver's restaurant until about a year ago. (Covid)

That is a nice green street for inner London
Yes Sao! I parked at Two Tree Island walked to Southend and caught the train back to my car. Then the sat nav decided to take me home the longest route possible, it took over 2 hours.
I did sneak the dogs on the beach for a little cool off in the water.
This pic makes it look almost like France, baring in mind I don't get out much

Home health nurse is supposed to be here shortly to change the dressing. As soon as she's done I'm going back to bed to try to sleep some more. I woke up with a headache in the middle of the night and it's still here.
Put Billie in the crate while nurse was here and she peed in it.
Mags, good news about the deeds.

Mr. A was supposed to work a half day today..Nope..Poor guy, it always happens to him, he will have in close to 60 hours by the end of the day.
Least, poor Billie and you. Was she just stressed from the nurse being there?

Hello everyone! Let’s take those walks toward the candle, whether your confident or scared to take that first step, or whether your enjoying that walk to the candle.
Big hugs, all

Hi all! I'm in! It's finally the weekend here (well, 4:00 Friday afternoon but close enough). I took a vacation day today so I got to start mine early. LOVE the pics !!!!!
I had a personal experience with Mag's "making the effort" post. I'm taking care of my neighbor's cats this weekend while she's at the beach. I went down this morning to give them breakfast and saw that she had set a thank you note on the table along with a bottle of wine. I didn't want to just leave it there, and have her wonder why I didn't take the gift, nor did I want to have to say to her "Well thanks but no thanks" or whatever. So I took it and walked back down to my house with it (the street should have probably had "EFFORT" stamped on it, like Mags's picture, thanks to all the thoughts I was having about keeping it), walked into my kitchen, opened it, poured it out and put the bottle in the recycling. I wished I didn't have to do that, but I did have to, and it's as simple as that.
Continually pushing to make the effort is tiring, but a bit less so all the time, so onward (Thanks for fixing my emojis Dee !!!) Good weekend to all!
