Thank you everyone.

I don't know what to say. I'm going to be an auntie on the 26th of December and that pleased and upset me a bit.

Anyway I'll have to pull myself together.

My housemates half sister took her own life about 2 months ago. My housemate asked me to sort myself out as she can't go through that again. Im finding it difficult to eat and sleep post Covid. For any one who thinks Covid was 'easy' after vaccine think again. Nothing is easy about this. Still at least no hospital, ICU ventilator etc. I have a lot to be thankful for.

I suppose like my Dad said if you are not sleeping well or eating well you are of no help to your housemate. I just feel like punching something if that makes sense.
I spoke with my GP this afternoon. She is prescribing more of those Fortisip drinks and writing to my psychiatrist to expedite my follow up appointment.

I guess help is there if you need it.

At least my mother is talking to me again. Dad said she was very concerned when she heard i had Covid because of "long Covid".

I suppose I have a lot to be thankful for.

Thanks again.

Hello friends,

So, my plan of action for this 'recovery refresher' I think I need:
- I'm going to contact some old AA friends and may even hit up a meeting or two
- I'm cutting down on sugar and caffeine
- I've booked a few days off work to relax a bit and do some recovery reading
- Exercise (yes, really), running and swimming
- A few new clothes to boost my confidence
- Gratitude, gratitude, gratitude!

Off to Marks and Sparks now to pick up said clothes... isn't sobriety great :-) Have a good evening all!

Warm wishes, Forwards.

Tetra love, your dad is right, but more to the point, you can't be there for yourself if you are not eating or sleeping. It justs ramps up our anxiety level.
We are here for you love....let us help you to get well. I know you can do it!!

And congrats on the auntie part....that is lovely news.

Evening Weekenders. Sending positive vibes to you Tetra, MantaLady, Kaily.

My sister's car was quite badly damaged in a gym car park (she wasn't in it but did wirness the immediate aftermath) She is angling to get it written off as a Total Loss by her insurers and then fob it off to me to repair. I could feel the pressure building down the phone. Hopefully it will be bad enough to be unrepairable. I've done my stint at metal bashing.

I don't blame you, Sao. That certainly sounds like a huge job! I'm glad your sister is ok though!

If the insurers pay out on a Total Loss, they then have possession of the vehicle, don't they?

Caramel, I believe you can buy the scrapped car at a price.
