Day 27 … every cloud

As I said previously, if I can get through 27 days of the most excruciating pain I have ever had in my entire life ( from broken shoulder) without remotely feeling the need to resort to alcohol, I think I’ve crossed some kind of important barrier .. and that is good right ? Before, the slightest twinge from a sprained ankle etc would see me reaching for the wine to ‘ feel better’. So every cloud does indeed have a silver lining …

Ican, sometimes these 'tests' that come along in early recovery serve an important purpose.

Congratulations on 27 days. Hopefully the pain will start to ease sooner rather than later.

It's a wonderful thing when we cross one of those "important barriers", to break on through to the other side Ican.
Start to wonder why we drank in the first place?

The 'present', even if uncomfortable, is at least legitimate. It gives us the chance to grow.

Congratulations on 27 days.

I really hope that's the case ICDT. If the AV does come back after your pain is gone, tell it to move on

Really amazing, Ican. I almost always reached for a beer or glass of wine first, when confronted with physical pain.

You're doing really great!
