17 months Sober Today 😎🎉

I guess at some point I’ll stop counting the months and move on to counting years. I am so grateful I finally faced music and quit drinking after decades and decades. I wish I had done it sooner. But hopefully I have a lot of life to live sober. I am 60 years old. I just lost my mother and my brother in the past few months and it’s really making me face my mortality. Hopefully I can live the long life that my mother lived. I have a few very annoying PAWS symptoms but other than that things are going pretty well. Ups and downs for sure. But facing everything sober is so much easier. So grateful for finding Sober Recovery I don’t know where I would be without it.

That's wonderful CBS! Congratulations on your sober time.
I hope you are adjusting to the loss of your mother. You've had to deal with a lot of grief. I hope the PAWS issues will resolve eventually.
