You need to learn to listen Lila. Just trust me on this one, you do not want to go just yet.
Can you describe your pain in simple terms? It's just psychological, isn't it? Correct me if I'm wrong, by all means.

I have read a lot on NDE (near death experiences) people who have "died" for minutes, sometimes a fair while, but then been sent back.
I read one book on people who tried to commit suicide, sometimes they actually succeeded, but were brought/sent back.
Their take on it is, you are sent here for soul development, earth is a school and you have certain things to overcome and lessons to learn while you are here. If you "leave early" so to speak, and didn't accomplish what you came here to accomplish you will have to repeat it again, in another life. People have different views, some believe in NDE some don't. I do and I know I for one, would rather get what needs to be done over in this life than have to come back and start again.

I'm sure your mom and your dog would prefer you to stay down here, until it's time for you to join them and see you work your way out of this black pit and find some peace and purpose. Which is doable. If you read some of the stories here, you will see it's very doable. But you might need some professional help. Sometimes a persons life lesson is to come to be able to accept help. I'm sure your mom on the other side is willing you on to make it.
I am atheist but if I was religious I would probably be more likely end up in hell because that is what my life has been like for the last decade. I'm sorry to hear you are suffering Lila. It's very hard not to look for some sort of temporary escape. Alcohol for me is just an escape from reality now. The fun times were over long ago. I haven't been able to reach a year sober yet and I've been on this site for 10 years. Keep posting here and know you aren't alone.
Hi Lila
I’m sorry. Please call an emergency line or crisis number today.

This cycle needs to be broken and I think professional help can do that for you.

Thanks for posting, Lila. I'm sorry you are struggling with emotional pain.
Did you lose your Mom recently? And your dog? Do you want to talk about it?
It really helps, in my experience, to do so. In person is best but we are willing to listen too.
And you are NOT a failure. Sometimes we make mistakes, but that doesn't make us "failures".
We are just people who have made mistakes.. that's all.. and EVERYONE makes mistakes.
