Soon i have to go on a work trip to a country in West Africa where I used to live. My hotel will be paid for by the project but then I want to stay on for five days to see friends. My AV is telling me to book a 5* hotel with minibar when in reality it would be better to either stay with said friends or in much simpler accommodation with no bar of any kind …mini or otherwise. Luckily I have identified this as well in advance as my AV talking so can take precautionary measures not least by telling it to do one ! The cheek !

Fantastic job of identifying that AV, Ican. Travel is always a temptation for me, because the excitement, and the urge to "enhance" the experience, lol. But ironically, when I don't drink I actually have a better time, so it really is the beast at work. Be vigilant and call it out, and you'll be fine. Have a great, sober adventure!

I agree with Advike. I always have a much better time after making the decision to not drink. Knock it on the head straight up. And then you can really enjoy yourself.

And on your return you will be stronger, and so happy with yourself.

Congrats on 32 days Ican. Don't sacrifice them for anything. Hard earned, and wonderful.
