You have so much support here in SR Lila. Having this good
strong support behind you, can help guide you to reaching out
for that extra help needed outside of SR.

With so many folks at different stages of recovery, sharing
their own experiences, strengths and hopes of what life was
before, during and after addiction, this can help you every
step of the way to gaining the strength and courage to achieve
your own sobriety starting now.

Lives can be made better Lila - there's a lot of us who are testament to that fact.
The priority right now tho is to look after yourself.

I know you've been baker acted before but if you've swallowed benzoes and are suicidal you need medical help - more than this site can provide.

Please call 911 or an ambulance.

Lila, please reach out for some local support right now.
You are so worth it—

Yes, it does feel like hell right now but things can get better.
Please realize that you are viewing things through a distorted lens of benzos and alcohol.
That makes everything feel so much worse than it really is.

Lila, just for a minute take thoughts of suicide out of the picture. What do you picture as a livable life? What do you think can be done, with IRL help to improve it?
Help to come off of alcohol, that would make a big difference?
Help getting off the benzos? That would help improve it?
It might take time, but things would be improving as you worked towards these goals.
Can you not go and talk to someone who would help with these goals, if you sat down with them and showed you were serious about wanting to dump these things?
If you just tell them you want to kill yourself and then close up, they probably would Baker Act you for your own safety.
But if you went with the intent of wanting to get treatment for your addictions, they could probably help.
Then once the addictions are under control you will be capable of working on the underlying stuff bothering you.

You need to tell someone face to face how you feel Lila. We are powerless from where we stand.

Please go to er, doesn't matter if you are baker acted. You will be safe.

Only recently was complicit in my daughter being scheduled. That's what we call it here. She hated me for it, but she was so so unwell. She is so much much better now Lila. And you can be too. Stick with us.

Don't destroy yourself for the miserable works of others Lila. I'm learning this ever so slowly, myself.

Please go to er Lila.

If you haven't, call 911. It's a road to recovery travelled by many before you.

I am only just seeing this and I am sorry you're feeling this way. I have also suffered with depression and anxiety for many years. Now I am on medication and it helps.
however, being here and seeing first hand people recover from their addictions and start living happy meaningful lives gives me hope that one day that could be me. And it can also be you. I have nothing but faith that you will get there keep checking in, we want you around and we understand.

I'm glad that whatever happened last night you're still here typing.
I still think you need outside help though, Lila.

I'm so glad you're still here with us, Lila.

I thought I would also mention that we have small group "classes" that start every month and being smaller, can offer each other lots of support. Not really a class, just support. No requirement to join one of course but you could check out the May one if you want, even just lurking, and see if it might be helpful to you. In any case, keep posting, and reading here. The more support the better.

If you meant loser, you most certainly are not. You have an addiction, plain and simple. You had s rough past, with some hurt and pain. Most of us here can relate. As for the church folks, as well-meaning as I'm sure she/they are, a non-addict can't possibly know what it's like, which is why AA, SR and other recovery groups tend to be more effective. We've been there. We are living it - some are still struggling, some have amazing lives, most are happier. You can be too, Lila.

If you are self harming Lila you need to see a good therapist. AA, SR , is not going to be enough. Both can be used as adjunct to therapy, but not enough in themselves imho.

The nice woman from your church probably doesn't understand. She is not skilled in treating suicidal/self harming behaviours. She's just got a good heart. It's not going to be enough in my view.

Maybe you've already been in therapy, idk.

Are you drinking now?

I am glad you are still here too Lila.

Dee is right though—you also need some extra support where you are and maybe get that arm looked at?
