Day 28 …No self control in supermarkets either
Nothing much to report- just checking in for accountability. Went to do a huge shop at a massive Waitrose supermarket near here.Told myself beforehand I could spend £100 but ending up spending £250 on food for a month and beyond (stocked up freezer). So I have proven again that I have no self control grocery shopping ( am much better online where you can delete things before checking out).I am even worse in garden centres !! But as cooking is my passion, I don’t see that as too bad a thing… obviously with alcohol I have absolutely no control whatsoever, so a few extra cooking ingredients in my shopping trolley is not anything I’m going to complain about !
I got overzealous with the shopping as I came out of my stupor. I figure if little is wasted, that’s ok.
Balance will come with time… But in the meantime, it gives me warm fuzzies to have plenty of nutritious food, candy and ice cream on hand. Not that candy and ice cream are the best nutrition choices. It’s a far cry from that insane feeling of alcohol insecurity: “Do I have enough to last me through the night? Weekend? What about Monday?”
Blech

Ican, I lost 10 lbs during the first year of the pandemic - because I was ordering online. I had my physical late in that year and my lab numbers were perfect - as good as they'd ever been. As soon as things opened up and I went back to shopping in the grocery store.. it went right back on.. haha.
I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as you're eating healthy and not drinking.
