Great news
Great news
I wanted to share with you some wonderful news. My husband’s CT came back clear for kidney cancer. We are overjoyed. Thank you all for the kind thoughts and support that you gave to me during this difficult time.
(It turns out that my husband’s symptoms are being caused by a (nother) large kidney stone.
Happy Sober Cinco de Mayo.

Spectacular! So happy for you two. And I even forgot it was Cinco de Mayo, haha.. thanks for the reminder! Actually I remembered this morning but forgot later as I was busy, so no AV at all. You're doing great, Peke!

That sounds painful, Peke, but what a roller coaster you’ve been on these last few weeks. I personally reckon I’d have caved in and been on the edge of drinking. You didn’t, and this shows mega strength. Imagine what else you can do now these problems are behind you plus you’re sober!
I just saw this thread Peke and I wanted to say a belated congrats on this great news
This brings back memories for me DriGuy. Years ago my wife was diagnosed with cancer. We went through a bunch of ups and downs as testing was done and appointments were gone to. In the end it was determined that her cancer was not aggressive and that she had a very good prognosis. A little while later I came home from work and found her on the couch crying. My first thought was she had got bad news about her diagnosis.
Turns out more testing had found a kidney stone and they wanted to get rid of that before they took out the tumor and it would be done quite quickly. I was so relieved I laughed and said something like 'that's great hun!'. She was not impressed. It was kinda the last straw for her, leaving her feeling like her entire body was failing her and it was never going to end. We got over it all and she's been fine since
Sometimes a kidney stone is not such a bad thing
