Day 11 finished.
Feeling good, not had many cravings really, more idealistic "wouldn't it be nice to have a drink'. Just my AV talking, I recognise it and disregard. That isn't the true me speaking, the one who wants to be free.
Today was a big day, every Thursday there is a free bar at the office. I was up there with a soft drink, I had no temptation at all. I hope something has finally clicked in my mind because I was watching people drink, and it was like how someone would feel if you saw someone eating prawns, and you hated prawns. There was just nothing there, no want, no desire. I doubt this feeling will persist, I am sure there will be times when I will be really wanting a drink, but I will deal with that when it comes, one day at a time.

Absolutely, and if I can do 11 days sober, I can do every day sober. At least I never have to experience day one again or the despair of active alcoholism
