Yep. Got a few things done today like getting my second booster shot for COVID. Walked a lot. Tired by the time I got home. Will try the Nature Preserve tomorrow. Have a good one. John

Sleeping much better. Makes a big difference. John

You are doing this, with grace and courage, John. :)

Hawkeye13 06-01-2022 07:55 AM

I hope you enjoy your walk to today in the preserve :). Take the usual precautions—plenty of water, not too far out (there and back in case you get tired) and have your phone. Sometimes when it is a hot, I will do two short trails instead of one long one in case I feel like I need to get back to my car and AC more quickly. I do miss youth at times. . .

I am sure you most likely already do all these things, so I post more for general sharing and as a reminder. Plus, eat something before you go ;)

Hope your day was good John :)

Sounds like you're taking good care of yourself. You deserve it John.

I hope you are feeling better. You are amazing and strong.

I'm hoping today brings you more relief John

I just saw your post about diagnosis. So sorry you are going through this. Stay strong. You can do hard things. Wishing you all the best.

Just got back from the Nature Preserve. Actually, I thought it was pretty boring. Didn't see any wildlife but maybe if I walked a little farther, I might of saw something. Just seemed like bunch of trails.
I did get a new key to the community gym. It's real nice. Looks new. Since I'm not going to be going to my regular gym for a while, this gym will come in handy. Will start using it tomorrow, even if it's only for a half hour or so.
Feeing pretty shaky today, but my mood is good. Taking pain meds only when I really need them. Hope everybody is having a fantastic day!!!! John

I'm glad to hear you're okay, John, and some kind of short visits to the gym may help you feel better.

Too bad Preserve was boring, but gym sounds really excellent! Glad you are out and about, but please don’t overdo it.

What did you have for dinner?

VikingGF 06-02-2022 07:34 PM

You sound good, John, so nice to hear.

Not much. I had a peanut and jelly sandwich, some pudding and a lot of ensure. Felt pretty full after that. Solid food seems to cause more pain so sticking to liquid food for the most part. John

Happy to hear about the gym! That sounds like it will be nice. Take care

I think digestion is pretty hard work but you are getting some good calories in John—I love PBJ so much could eat it daily—I also like banana and honey with peanut butter just like Elvis—

When do you think you are going to try the gym? As I recall, you are pretty knowledgeable about weight lifting, aren’t you?

I'm pretty much a cardio junkie. Could go on for hours easy. Got some things to do tomorrow, so will start on Sunday. I was pretty much compulsive when I was working out so once I start I know I will stick with it. Will start out with short cardio workouts and mix it with some light weight lifting. Should help to reduce anxiety and improve my mood. Always has before. John

Just ate a chicken pot pie. So far, no pain or nausea. Maybe I can start eating more if that continues. Feeling really good today!! John
