New - Hi
I just wanted to introduce myself. I’m Lisa from Calif. Been addicted to benzos for a very long time. I’m aware of the necessity for medical help with withdrawal. Thanks for having me. God bless you.

Hi Lisa. Welcome to SR.
I havent used benzos for over 3 years, and had a very difficult time withdrawing. This is not the case for everyone. Hope this is the case for you. My drug of choice was alcohol, thought I was using benzos therapeutically, but this seems to make no difference. Even short term users can have difficulty getting off these most evil little pills.
What is your benzo history Lisa? Are you tapering at the moment? Are you symptomatic?
We have a benzo forum here but it is not as well utilised as the alcohol forums. Scroll through the forums and you will find it.
Have you had any contact with benzobuddies? It's a dedicated benzo site which you may find useful.
I am so so glad I managed to free myself from benzos Lisa. It was not easy, but definitely worth it.
