Day 4 - getting back on track …

So thank you your wise words .. I’m getting back on track and reinstating everything that kept me on track before … healthy eating, yoga, etc and because my exercise was a bit meh, I have an appointment with a personal trainer ! I’m having a trial session next week with a young man who seems to know what he’s talking about. He also deals with nutrition and in the context of that I will say I don’t drink. If I liked the way I felt and looked more, I think that’s half the battle to actually liking ME (or is it vice versa?) !

It works both ways, doesn't it. Good for you for continuing to take action.

Yes ! Looking better, healthier, nicer skin, losing weight, brighter eyes, and feeling good is a great motivator!

Good to see ICDT. The attention of a personal trainer is a great idea if you have the means. They will make you do things and push your boundaries in ways that we would never push ourselves to do. It will shake things up. Have fun and enjoy that adventurous feeling.

Have you thought about making the list of delay responses to cravings I mentioned in the other thread?

Having it ready and any supplies needed may really pay off in case of immediate intense temptation “out-of-nowhere”.

Good luck with the trainer—definitely put some Epsom salts on your shopping list if you haven’t any at home. Trainers work you beautifully hard and you will have some sore muscles that will benefit from a luxurious soak!

filling your day with things to do is great ICDT...but if you're like me, you still need some strategies that deal specifically with your drinking, or wanting to drink

Hawkeyes post in the other thread is worth thinking about
