4 years, yesterday

Life is full and complicated, challenging, satisfying, full of beauty and boredom, accidents and victories. It streams by so quickly. My sobriety is the vehicle by which I navigate it all. Sobriety is the baseline. I am proud of the achievement of my sobriety, four years in, especially when I look back here at my many lost and wasted years in the bottle. But that achievement is not the end, it is just a beginning. A beginning of the real work of taking care of my life, doing right by my family, working with my self. It's a door or a threshold I crossed, into a new life, a new day, where I might be the man I always thought I could be.

Thank you SR. This place is what got me sober, nothing else besides my self and SR. Forever grateful even if I am not around much these days. Four years! Feels good.
