Recent slip and need some support
I have no desire to moderate drinking and am here to maintain abstinence. I am expressing self forgiveness for past mistakes, which cannot be changed. I wish everyone the best of luck in maintaining sobriety, no matter what their methods are - and wish you success in your sobriety.
SMART has been my mainstay the years, as well as this site and in-person meetings. One of the most helpful aspects of this site (for me) has been the class group, which I hope to maintain. It makes a difference when you have accountability with a group of people. I will make my way there.
Thanks, Anna. I will make use of the ignore button.

I Love my Class!
Great idea!
If you are not aware there are 24 hour threads where we commit to 24 more hours of sobriety, the Sober bus thread and the weekenders threads every week.
All full of great folks with the same goal as you.
Glad you are sticking around!

Hi Pouncer - I'm so glad you returned & posted about what's doing on.
You're wiser than I was! You're seeking support before things spin entirely out of control. The last time I allowed myself a glass of wine it led to years of reckless behavior & chaos. (I had 3 yrs. sober at that time.) You won't let that happen!

I'm so glad you have decided to stay Pouncer.
Congrats on wanting abstinence, and more importantly working towards it. How else is it done? What other way is there?
Everyone learns at their own pace. Took me decades. And now 2 years sober! It's so much better Pouncer. No longer having to go through those random one day events that kept me stuck for much more than a day.
Good to see you Pouncer.
