hey lastorders - because I knew I needed to change my drinkers life if I wanted to stay sober, sober quickly became the new normal for me.

It was probably not until year 2 tho that I was completely at ease with never drinking again, the odd craving etc

A year might sound a long time but I'd been drinking and drugging for 2-3 decades...
