Day 42 ..really annoyed but won’t drink …

Aaagh. I am sick of the freezing cold, rainy weather - today’s was accompanied by thunder and lightening which totally scuppers my walks ; although my work meeting (see yesterday’s post) went well, the next steps ( and hence my payment) is blocked as the two head honchos have Covid and are off ; I got a water bill yesterday for £500 and another today for £1100 ! Last year I found that my meter was attached to the supply of other flats - I thought they had fixed it, but clearly not. Amusingly, it itemised it in a very British way and told me I could have made 902,000 cups of tea ( which is a lot, even for me ) !!! :-) ; I’m trying to diet and cut out carbs but feel like accompanying my cod with capers and lemon tonight with a big pile of buttery mashed potatoes … but I won’t drink. Because I won’t stop and it won’t make any of this better ! Onwards !

Congratulations on 6 weeks of sobriety Ican. I love the way you're dealing with any stresses that come your way.

Drinking 902,000 cups of tea is not recommended though!

Someone stole my identity, opened a credit card, debit card, bank account and an $8000 personal loan. I have been sorting it out for months now filing police reports, reports to the FBI, reports to the banking company, and still it shows delinquent and my credit score is dropping faster than I would like. But I'm dealing with it sober.

You're doing great. We're bound to have bad days. You're 30 days ahead of me, but it is def hard in the early part.

LMAO at the British comparison to "cups of tea".. that is beyond hysterical!

Keep it going, Ican!

Hi ICDT. I hope today is a better day. I'll suggest again getting some gear on and getting outside snow, ice, rain or shine. I live in Minnesota here in the upper midwest frozen tundra, and if inclement weather kept us from getting outside into nature, we'd all be cabin-crazy 6-8 months per year. I think it would be good for you to venture out into the cold and the rain.
