thank you all very much.
It felt good coming clean about the issues that I have with swearing. I’m totally not a goody two shoes. But I can’t take that kind of loud, repetitive cursing. It’s puts my stomach into knots.
But at least I didn’t drink!
I had a nice walk with a friend. And now I’m going to lift weights.

That sounds like a good reason to get really stressed out to me Peke. When I was drinking I ruined more than one relationship with my acid tongue and foul mouth. Nobody wants to listen to that. And with your history, I'm sure that goes double for you. Your feelings are legit.

I don't get it when some folks swear and cuss as bad
as they do. Sure, i spout off a word or 2 at times in the
heat of anger and quickly catch myself knowing all good
and well that that isn't lady like.
There were a few times in the past when i say one
bad word followed by continuously cursing like water
coming out a faucet. Just pouring out my mouth.
It amazes me how quickly one cuss word leads to
another at times. So, i quickly cap it off with thinking
of more pleasant thoughts and words and practicing
it on a daily bases.
Swearing, cussing, foul mouths has no place in my
vocabulary and is extremely offensive to hear it from
others repeating them. So, i understand where you
are coming from and understand that is not tolerated
around you.
There is no sense in it.

I think you handles it great for the short term. I no longer run because of a neck fusion, but I certainly go for walks, and if I can’t do that I clean or do something by myself.
Agree with Carl, perhaps maybe the situation runs deeper than you think. Maybe beyond cursing. Maybe it’s a respect issue, a disappointment issue, or that he’s getting drunk and you are cleaning up your life.
So much to think about.
