5 months Sober!
5 months Sober!
In 9 days, I’ll be 5 months sober! Can’t believe it!
I’m still dealing with mental/hormonal issues but now that I’m aware of it, I can take proper actions.
For 10 years, I’ve been going back and forth between 175 lbs to 196 lbs. I checked my weight today and I’m 169lbs! I haven’t been under 170 in YEARS!! I haven’t been dieting or exercising. Still have a ways to go but so happy about this! 27 lbs lost since Dec 2020.
I definitely need to get my butt back into AA. I have t been in weeks but did go today and of course, everyone spoke to me (without knowing) and reiterated I NEED to be there.
Just wanted to check in

Thanks everyone. I’ve been fighting this battle since 2014 (when I KNEW I had a problem). I feel pretty stoked. I’m a non drinker now. I have no desire to drink. And just to be able to say that is pretty amazing when my mind was constantly consumed with alcohol before.
Good Work!
It's indescribable the difference in this new life from the old miserable drunken one.
I too have dropped a good 10 lbs from nothing more than quitting booze. I am a thin guy but 10 extra lbs is a lot to carry.
