Day 23 - Did something I thought I couldn’t do !
So I’ve been moaning about feeling lethargic, having brain fog, no energy etc ..I used to do an almost daily walk to a beautiful pond through some woods near here. It’s a 6km round trip, with a few hills, which never used to phase me but I’ve spent weeks thinking I can’t do it… but I JUST DID IT AND SOME !!! 7.4 km, over 12,000 steps and I feel great ! It was mating time for birds on the pond so all the male ducks and moorhens were fighting. I felt like I was making a David Attenborough documentary - ha ha ! But I did it. And I will do it again tomorrow when I’m supposed to be joining the local Conservation volunteers doing a census of moths ! Yes really ! A very good day !
Good on you Ican. As others have said, it really is therapeutic. A complete change in mental state is what I've found, and it doesn't cost, only gives. Get to see the ducks and moorhens on the pond. Forget about ourselves for a while.
I'm wondering how you count moths Ican?
We have a Bogong moth here Australia, used as food source by aboriginal people for a very long time. And then of course, there is the mighty silkworm. Moths are underestimated for their importance.
Long live the moth.
