You're doing great Zimbo! The first three days sober have always been the hardest for me. By then the alcohol is mostly out of our systems, the worst is over for me and I have to switch to concentrate on staying sober.
It was hard for me to get my head around never having a drink again, though deep down I knew that was the best deal. The Rational Recovery concept of using AVRT to do that has worked for me so far, and there are a bunch of other systems that help a lot of people too. Hang in there, you can do this
