Day 6 - cooking myself better !

I really still don’t feel well. I mean I can function - get up, go to the shop, work etc but I feel on edge and have the most appalling brain fog and lack of concentration. My theory is that this can be fixed by healthy eating so tonight I made Moqueca - a Brazilian fish stew with coconut milk, peppers, tomatoes, okra, garlic, ginger and lime juice. That should do it !

Some really important financial documents arrived in the post for my son - but seeing as I don’t know where he is, I don’t know what to do with them ..l so that’s bothering me ..

Plus my best friend called last night and wants to meet up in the centre of town next week … I really want to see her to discuss recent events , but our normal evening would be an evening in a posh restaurant with a couple of bottles of wine (and more for me when I got home ).. I need to nip this in the bud and make it an afternoon outing to a gallery or something and then a visit to a tea shop. Don’t worry ! I’m on the case!

Best to tell her, Ican. I found that telling my friends really helped me stay on track.

Your cooking, as always.. sounds fantastic!

You're doing great!

Sorry to hear you still have brain fog, why not invite your friend to you're house and cook a nice meal (sounds like you enjoy cooking) just say not to bring booze, and then chat and catch up.

Yes, that’s normally an option but logistically not going to work if she can’t stay the night - she lives out of town and comes in from a different direction !

You're doing well and your dish sounds delicious!
Re your son's mail, could you write "not at this address", or bring them to a post office to explain. it sounds like it would be best to deal with this matter soon if it's bothering you.
Good luck!

You are doing great, such delicious food you should write a recipe book!
I agree with Advbike, telling your best friend will help, I am sure she will want to support you.

You could send the documents to his father if he is still in contact
