Queensland floods - Dee

Hey Dee, hope you are doing ok during these floods. Terrible stuff!

Northern NSW now under threat with blanket flood evacuation being instigated by emergency services. This has never happened previously. Described as catastrophic. Levee has broken. Lismore has had some terrible floods, but this is predicated to be worst since records began.

Safe safe Dee. Stay safe Brisbane, Lismore. And no drinking, Queensland, you are needed at the helm.

Oh dear, what next?!

Steely, are you safe? I hope you won't need to be evacuated. Let us know if you are still safe in your home.

And, prayers for everyone in Australia dealing with the floods, including our wonderful Dee.

Wow! 400mm in 24 hours (16 inches in old money) That is a huge amount. Best wishes to anyone caught up in it.

I'm ok where I am Anna. Thank you. Torrential rain for past 2 weeks is all. People sitting on their bench tops in other parts, and some on their roofs. Old couple in their roof cavity. Waters rising. Emergency services inundated.

I do hope you are ok Dee.

yes we had three days of that 400 mm +...a rain system that just sat there...another day and I might have been in trouble but it's blue skies today for me and the waters around me in the neighbourhood receded pretty fast.

As Steely said tho its still a threat to those south of me - I hope all SR Gold Coasters or NSWers are safe.

Thanks for your concern for me guys but all good

D
