Thanks Mags. I am in for another sober weekend.
MLD I hope your mood lifts.
(((Manta))) I am so sorry about your news. I know I have heard that there are a lot of things that can be done for lung cancer these days. Best of luck to you. Stay close. You are in my thoughts.
Reid I am happy you finally got the estate sorted out.
Today is my 60th birthday. I took a lovely hike on this cool overcast day with my daughters. While walking, my son in SF, called to wish me a happy birthday. Tonight we are going out for dinner and one of my daughters made my favorite carrot cake. So I feel very grateful and blessed. 59 was a weird year because that is how old my dad was when he died. I miss him so. That was 32 years ago! Just doesn't seem possible. And now my mom is 89 and doesn't know it is my birthday because of her dementia. I guess I will call her and tell her I love her and I am glad she brought me into this world. She is a beautiful loving person and I hate that she is struggling so with her memory and cancer. I go to see her Sunday for a week.
Anyway here are some picsfrom the piedmont of NC from our hike today. I hope everyone has as goos a weekend as they can under these weird circumstances(COVID, new Cold War....).

good afternoon everyone.
things are going very well here. I put in my notice today at my part time position because I accepted a full time role with a different company. I'm completely changing career paths and going into warehouse and distribution/logistics. I'm going to eventually get my CDL through the new company.
the new position is also monday-friday and that's set, no rotating schedule. I won't be able to go to the noon meetings but will switch back to going to the night meetings. I'm also still working with a mentor. I personally call them mentors because I don't like the word sponsor for some odd reason. I am almost on step 3 and we are meeting weekly. I believe not talking every single day is helping us and was our issue. Everything is good now.
106 days with no alcohol.
