Ho Ho Ho Jolly as we go - Weekenders 24 - 27 December 2021
Welcome to Weekenders ElizaD! Stick around
What a terrible thing to happen Free2, you were not and are not responsible for it so don't feel you are guilty or anything like that. I understand there is a spike in suicides at Christmas, it can be the worst time of the year for many.
Well done on looking after your mum Aly. The main thing with Prime Rib is to start with a hot oven and turn it down after a few minutes. It is pretty straightforward as far as cooking goes. As Robbie says, it is easy to overcook it so stick to the time it says.
Congratulations on 40 days calmself.

Snappy Christmas pieces. Nice.
We put together a posse of friends and nephews and went to a football game last night. A bit chilly, but it was fun. My nephews were getting those extra large tall boys they have at the games now. Didn't bother me. They offered me an open one. Not a big deal. They know I quit, but I think that people are just trying to be nice and have no idea of the turmoil they could be causing.

Thanks Mags, it made me feel so much better. I was beginning to lose the plot again. Such a relief Alfie and I are nearly up to ridiculously long walks again. It is my therapy.
Daisy is just happy go lucky and doesn't mind either way.

Thank you for all the tips on how to cook the prime rib. I have to really watch it because I will only eat it rare. For some reason, since I've been a kid, I cannot eat overly cooked meat. I'm glad to know they cook quickly. They'll deliver it today in a hour and a half or so and then tomorrow I get to try my hand at cooking that thing!! Sao, the hot oven to start and turn down, sounds like a good tip. Wish me luck.
Kaily, so nice to see the pups!
Have a joyous holiday to all my precious friends here.
Love and peace to all. 💗☮💫

Thank you, my dear friend, Mags. You are always so much support to me.
How are you and your wrist doing? Do you and Mr. M spend time with his mom? I'm hoping all goes well. You are so precious to me and everyone. Wishing you and all a wonderful Christmas Eve.
I guess the roast will get done one way or another. I just have to be really careful not to over cook it.
Love and peace to all.

Doing ok with the wrist, thanks Aly. It’s a slow process, I see the surgeon on 31st. See whether it can be fixed.
We’re spending time with mum-in-law every day. Going to cook dinner at hers Christmas Day. She’s confused over Christmas, change doesn’t seem good with Alzheimer’s, everything has to be just so. It’ll be ok though.
