Hello friends,

It's a lively thread this week - thanks for the waterfalls, DIY tales and photobombers :-)

My housemate has very enthusiastically put up a Christmas tree in our kitchen. Myself, I won't put up any decorations until Advent at the earliest but he seems to think it fends off the winter gloom and he may be right. I start work at the crack of dawn these days and finish in the dark - not much good for evening walks...

Work continues apace with various plaudits coming our way. I'd never have coped with this (relatively) new job while drinking. Remember friends, long term sobriety really is the new super power!

Back to work... Warm wishes to all. Forwards.

Good to see you Forwards. I lose the enjoyment of Christmas decorations after few weeks so I tend not to put them up until mid Dec.

Hang in there Manta, chores and other displacement activities are surprisingly effective.

Got back about 7.30pm.

What a drive that must be Sao. I think it would take me a week.

Manta you can go for a walk just don't take any form of payment with you. I had to do that for months so I couldn't act on impulse.

Bah humbug that I am no decorations here. It is my most difficult time of the year. I really do dread it and struggle. Loneliness hurts more. Roll on January.

Maybe I can do some more DIY

Hi Kaily I spent many Christmas alone for a period of years. I’d get my favourite foods in and watch old movies on the tv for a few days. D.I.Y sounds good too
